Expression of sadness is the simplest way to make it lighter and I appreciate writer’s decision to express it through ‘expression’. Sometimes we just put our feelings into words and then realize that even these raw feelings have some artistic value ...this poem is the outcome of this effect only.
In my opinion Indifference originates due to two reasons:
Reason 1: You want something and you didn’t get it and there is no hope to get it: this is tough case and the only solution is to get your mind focussed on what you have and not on what you don’t have.
Reason 2: You are in search of something... you feel at one point that you have achieved it but later realize that this is not what you are searching for and then you go again on searching and the story keeps on repeating. This kind of thing happens when either you are not clear about what you want from life or you already have best thing with you but you are trying to find better than that.

Your lines “simat si jati hai har aarzoo puri hone se pahle hi...” clearly tells that the reason 2 actually responsible for your indifference.
Don’t think that indifference is a sad part of life. Sometimes, it proves to be bliss because it gives you enough time to stay away from external maya and focus just on yourself...sometimes a person gets to know about herself during this period only and she realizes that she already have all those things with her/within herself which she was searching outside.
And a comment for your last lines: “mana zindagi ek safar hai per sirf safar katna zindagi zeena to nahi”
