Come Over
Come over like a wave of sea
To engulf me into the realms of glee
Come over and take me in your cozy embrace
Lets triumph over the temporal and spatial race
Come over with a morning kiss
To give me the ever satiating bliss
Come over just once ... when I am least alarmed,
Sensing my deep-buried desires and leave me charmed
Come over before I head on the never-returning journey of eternal rift
And take me along to an exotic world with your whimsy drift
A world with just you and me and our selfless yearns
A world void of "righteousness", man-made norms and societal churns
Come over before I give up the faith in love
Hold me in your secure arms not letting despondency me shove

Most of the people look at different works of the same person from the same angle. In your case the last two poems are written in different frames of minds but whenever someone reads them he tries to compare the two. I also got confused in the beginning. But once I came out of the territory of the first poem, the second poem took me to an amazingly different territory. This territory didn’t have any inner conflict like the previous one. This territory had only love and ultimate soothing pleasure of mind.
This poem represents the basic need of love and affection of a person. Everyone has the desire for the same but throughout our life we just spend our priceless time and energy in curbing those desires. We always complain about the ‘man- made’ barriers but what’s about self-made barriers created by our ego? I don’t know why we always expect others to hold us and not approach ourselves. Why do we not even appreciate the moves made by others and later try to find faults with others? Our Vedas say that the ideal state of the
human soul is the freedom from all bounds of time- past or future, social systems and personal biases. We also realize that but do we really make efforts for freedom?
